NAMA Connect Hosts Female Empowerment Event At Aljada
Impactful Sharjah government organization NAMA Women Advancement hosted a transformative NAMA Connect event at YourSpace, Aljada on 21 May. The event kicked off six insightful sessions at key Sharjah venues, and concludes 6 June.
With a focus on creating communities that foster growth and opportunity, NAMA Connect provided a resourceful environment for women to access knowledge and opportunities. The day’s agenda covered a diverse range of topics, with industry experts leading engaging sessions on Financial Literacy, Artificial Intelligence, and Agribusiness. Attendees had the opportunity to explore a realm of possibilities as they gained valuable insight into these areas and their potential impact on women’s lives.
By fostering an inclusive environment, NAMA Women Advancement is committed towards building an equitable world for women across the Emirate of Sharjah and beyond. Founded in 2015 by HH Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the UAE Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and chaired by HH Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Wife of HH the Ruler of Sharjah, NAMA Women Advancement mobilizes the means required to advance gender equality, stemming from the core philosophy that places women’s advancement at the forefront of sustainable development.
The Aljada mega-community’s YourSpace venue serves as a pivotal community center in Sharjah for integral summits, initiatives, and celebrations. Master developer Arada is a strong supporter of community endeavors and routinely partners with entities to enhance sustainable development.
Through its affiliates, the Sharjah Business Women Council and the Irthi Contemporary Crafts Council, NAMA Women Advancement designs and implements initiatives that support women across the economic, professional, and social sectors. The platform engages with grassroots and international organizations as part of its comprehensive approach towards developing an ecosystem in which women’s full potential is realized, and where women can thrive.
